High Wall Low Wall Rafter Calculator

Use this feet and inch rafter calculator in situations where one wall is taller than the other. Enter the width of the roof, the difference in wall heights, the roof pitch, and the thickness of the ridge and get the rise to the top of the ridge from the low wall, the run over to the ridge from the low wall, the length of the long rafter, the length of the short rafter, and the height of the scaffold.

When using this tool for a situation where there is brick on one side of the house and not on the other, remember the overall length of the rafters from tail to tail should be the same. In other words the rafter cut is basically from cornice to cornice, it is only the position of the birds mouth that changes.
